Peter (Pip) Arrowsmith, our club President was one of the founder members.
The club leased its first water, The Tilery 1960 and subsequently purchased it in 1966
Followed by a lease on Kenny ‘s pond which was then purchased in 1972.

The club formed Dunelm AA jointly with Durham City AA in 1981 and purchased Chester Moor on the Wear in 1983.
